The Hive Dance Studio
The Hive Dance Studio was established in 2017 as New Jersey’s very first all urban dance studio. The Hive’s purpose was to provide a safe space for the New Jersey dance community and to bring dancers together under one roof. Today, The Hive is home to over 500 dancers and continues to serve the community. With our extensive curriculum and various programs taught by some of the best teachers in the NJ/NY area, our dancers are able to leave the studio with a one of a kind experience.
The Hive was founded by Joseph Ancheta and Katrina Endozo. Joseph and Katrina started their dance journey together back in 2008.
Over the past decade our two owners have been making their mark across the New Jersey dance community. Joseph and Katrina have been directing teams, to attending various workshops and conventions.

They've relentlessly expanded their training and grew their abilities as dancers and choreographers. They have founded three dance companies/team to compete and showcase all over the U.S.
They were able to push their company further in 2017 finding a permanent home and opening up The Hive Dance Studio. Today, Joseph and Katrina continue to run The Wannabes and have further expanded it by adding 2 more teams. The Be Team, the adult training company. and The Junior Bees, the teen competing company. They also teach at various studios across NJ and continue to make their impact on the dance community.
The Wannabes are the Hive's adult professional company that was established in 2014. The company has performed and competed all over the U.S throughout the years and have places top 3 at multiple competitions across the East Coast.
The Wannabes have even had a few opportunities to compete in California. The Wannabes hope to be leaders in the dance community as they serve as the main ambassadors for the Hive dance studio and company. Their members are hardworking individuals that are striving to become who they want to be through the art of dance.
The Be Team is the Hive's adult training team that is focused on providing the necessary tools and practices for dancers looking to take their dancing to the next level. The studio provides the Be Team with intense training and team building which are some of the many experiences that dancers will have in order to grow in techniques and as dancers.

The Junior Bees are the newest addition to the Hive family serving as the junior competitive team of the dance studio. With dancers ages 13-17 years old, the Junior Bees Team provides the opportunity for the youth to learn the necessary skills to excel not just in dance bu in all facets of their life. The Junior Bees also provide a positive learning environment in the studio while also having a chance to perform on stage to represent the Hive at various competitions and events.
The Hive continuous growth and passion for dance in a genuine and comfortable environment. The Hive hosts a variety of dance classes from beginner to advance, offering master workshops from Guest Choreographers, as well as pop-up weekend events. The Hive is super excited to share their space and be a part of the Rahway Arts District. with their new studio. However due to the pandemic, the Hive has closed their doors and is continuing to teach online dance classes and tutorials on their YouTube page.
